Chief Financial Officer

The group wants a CFO who gets involved, not one who just signs off.

This is a genuinely hands-on CFO role inside an established multi-franchise automotive dealer group, covering New Cars, Used Cars, Service, Parts and F&I across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. You'll work directly with the Dealer Principal, General Managers and department leaders, not from a distance, but in the dealerships, challenging performance and driving real commercial outcomes.

This group runs on an ownership mentality and practical decision making over corporate formality. You'll own cash flow, budgeting, floorplan management and profitability across every department, while introducing AI and automation to cut cost and lift efficiency. Underperformance gets challenged directly here, and the right person will be just as comfortable holding managers accountable as they are building the relationship with them.

What you'll need:

• Significant finance experience within a car dealership or automotive dealer group
• Strong understanding of dealership financials, floorplan and departmental profitability
• Confidence working directly with Dealer Principals, GMs and Department Managers
• Practical, hands on approach rather than purely corporate finance experience
• Experience with Auto-IT or similar dealer management systems highly regarded
• Based on the Gold Coast, or willing to permanently relocate for an on-site role
