About the Role WestLink Workforce are seeking reliable and safety-focused
Site Operations Machinery & Utility Operators to support ongoing operations in a FIFO/DIDO capacity.
In this varied position, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy rigid vehicles and ancillary machinery. You will play a vital role in day-to-day site logistics, including waste management, machinery refuelling, water delivery, and dust suppression, contributing directly to operational standards, environmental compliance, and site safety.
Key Responsibilities

Waste Management: Perform rubbish collections, skip bin operations, hydrocarbon waste handling, loader work, recycling management, and general maintenance of the Waste Management Facility (WMF).

Refuelling: Safely refuel site generators and mobile equipment, monitor bund levels, log refuelling records, and report any issues promptly.

Water Cart Operations & Dust Suppression: Operate water carts for dust suppression, deliver potable water across site, and maintain fauna ponds.

Equipment & Maintenance: Conduct pre-start inspections, daily cleaning, minor maintenance, and report faults immediately.

Safety & Compliance: Attend daily pre-start meetings, complete required site documentation, follow WHS policies, and report hazards/incidents.

General Duties: Maintain high standards of housekeeping across work areas and assist with additional site operational duties as required.
Selection Criteria Essential: - Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence (minimum standard).
- Current National Police Clearance (or ability to clear one).

6–12 months minimum experience operating heavy rigid vehicles and machinery.
- Proven experience working effectively in FIFO / DIDO mining environments.
- Uncompromising commitment to Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Fitness for Work guidelines.
Desirable: - Relevant Plant Tickets (Grader, Loader, Excavator, Dozer, Roller, Forklift, Bobcat).
- Demonstrated prior experience in site waste management, fuel logistics, or water cart operations.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and cross-cultural awareness.
