Vac Truck Operator

Responsibilities

- Operate vacuum trucks and associated equipment safely and efficiently.

- Perform industrial, environmental, septic, hydro-excavation, or waste-removal services as assigned.

- Load, transport, and unload liquid, sludge, debris, and other materials.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

- Complete daily logs, inspection reports, manifests, and other required paperwork.

- Follow all company safety policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

- Use proper personal protective equipment, including respirators or chemical-resistant gear when required.

- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.

- Maintain clean and organized trucks, tools, and work areas.

- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety issues.

- Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

- Assist with general labor and other duties as needed.

Valid commercial driver’s license, preferably Class A or Class B.

- Acceptable driving record.

- Previous vacuum truck, tanker, septic, environmental, industrial-services, or heavy-equipment experience preferred.

- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening and background check.

- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials.

- Ability to work in confined spaces, around unpleasant odors, and in industrial environments.

- Strong safety awareness and reliable attendance.

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, emergency callouts, or overnight assignments when needed.
