Car Washer/Detailer

About the role

Cowie Collision Centre is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Car Washer/Detailer to join our team at our Beenleigh automotive repair facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the presentation standards of our vehicles and ensuring customer satisfaction. As a Car Washer/Detailer, you will be responsible for the cleaning, washing, and detailing of vehicles , contributing directly to the professional image and reputation of our collision centre. This role is essential in preparing vehicles for handover to customers and ensuring all work completed meets our quality benchmarks.

Key responsibilities

• Washing and polishing vehicles using appropriate techniques and cleaning products

• Performing interior vacuuming and interior cleaning

• Detailing vehicles including engine bays, wheels, trim and glass to ensure spotless presentation

• Inspecting vehicles for damage or defects and reporting any issues to management

• Maintaining and cleaning all equipment, tools and workspace in a tidy and organised manner

• Following health and safety procedures and environmental regulations when handling chemicals and materials

• Supporting the collision centre team to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Car Washer, Detailer or similar automotive cleaning role, ideally within a collision repair or automotive service environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results consistently

• Knowledge of vehicle washing and detailing products, techniques and best practices

• Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards

• Physical fitness and capability to perform repetitive tasks involving lifting and standing for extended periods

• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to customer service

• A valid Australian driver's licence

• Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
