The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and analysing performance tests to ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and capable of meeting business and technical requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using JMeter.Analyse application performance and identify bottlenecks across application, database, API, and infrastructure layers.Create and maintain JMeter test plans, scripts, scenarios, assertions, timers, controllers, and listeners.Perform API performance testing for REST and SOAP services.Conduct baseline, load, stress, spike, soak, and volume testing.Correlate and parameterise dynamic data within performance scripts.Monitor CPU, memory, database, network, and application metrics during performance testing.Analyse test results and prepare detailed performance test reports and recommendations.Work closely with developers, business analysts, architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimisation.Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where required.Support performance testing across cloud and distributed environments.Contribute to performance testing strategies, plans, test scenarios, and execution schedules.Required Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in performance testing / non-functional testing.Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter.Excellent understanding of performance testing methodologies and concepts.Experience with Load Testing, Stress Testing, Soak/Endurance Testing, Volume Testing, and Scalability Testing.Strong experience in API performance testing using REST/SOAP.Experience with SQL and database performance analysis.Strong scripting/programming skills using Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or similar.Experience with HTTP/HTTPS, web applications, JSON, XML, and authentication mechanisms.Experience analysing JMeter reports and identifying performance trends and bottlenecks.Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or similar.Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
