Apprentice Fabrication and Installation

ABOUT THE ROLE

Genneral Staircase is the leading staircase and balustrade manufacturer based in Wetherill Park. We are seeking a motivated Fabrication & Installation Apprentices to join our growing team. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your trade skills across both the fabrication workshop and on-site installation environments.

We welcome applicants at any stage of their apprenticeship — whether you are just starting out or looking to complete your training with a quality-focused employer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the fabrication of staircases, balustrades, and handrail systems in our Wetherill Park workshop

• Support the installation team on residential and commercial project sites across Sydney

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and work orders

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery in accordance with WHS requirements

• Prepare, cut, and finish timber, steel, and glass balustrade components

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times

• Work collaboratively with experienced tradespeople and site supervisors

• Complete all required TAFE coursework and assessments as part of your apprenticeship

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Current enrolment in a Certificate III in Joinery or Shopfitting

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in Certificate III in Joinery or Shopfitting at the time of application

• Applicants may either be currently enrolled in Certificate III in Joinery or Shopfitting, or we can assist suitable candidates in commencing their apprenticeship through this role.

• A positive, can-do attitude and genuine eagerness to learn

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

• Basic physical fitness — this role involves manual handling and working at heights

• Current driver's licence (preferred but not essential)

• White Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

• White Card must be obtained within the first month if not currently held
