Border Switchboards is a locally owned and operated Switchboard Manufacturing Company located in Albury, NSW.

We have a current vacancy for a qualified Electrician and a 2nd or 3rd year Electrical apprentice to join our team.

The role:

• Assembly and installation of switchgear, wiring and busbar to electrical switchboards, control panels and meter boards

• Fabrication of copper busbar 

• Monday to Friday – with overtime available

• Fast paced working environment

The person:

• Ability to follow instructions

• Ability to work well in a team

• Knowledge of or experience in electrical switchboards

• Knowledge of control wiring beneficial but not essential

• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively 

• Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship

• Ability to work to deadlines

• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings and instructions.

• Hard working and reliable

• Transport to and from work

• Ability to work overtime when required
