About the role
The General Practitioner with Special Interest (GPwSI) – Adolescent and Young Adult Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Service (AYA PPES) provides high-quality, patient-centred care to adolescents and young adults experiencing pelvic pain, endometriosis and heavy menstrual bleeding. As part of a multidisciplinary community-based service, the role supports the delivery of a holistic biopsychosocial model of care that improves access to specialised, age-appropriate healthcare for young people across Metro North Health.
The successful candidate will undertake assessment, treatment and ongoing management of patients within the AYA PPES, working closely with multidisciplinary clinicians, primary care providers and specialist services to deliver coordinated care. The role also contributes to service development, quality improvement, collaboration between primary and secondary care, and the advancement of patient-centred women's health services.
