Food & Beverage Shift Leader

For over a century, Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club has been acknowledged as one of the most prestigious sporting clubs in the southern hemisphere with first class sporting, social and hospitality facilities. 

Internationally renown as the spiritual home of Australian Tennis, our extensive grounds set amongst manicured gardens and lawns, comprise 26 grass courts, 22 all weather en tout cas courts and 3 Plexicushion courts in the iconic Kooyong stadium. The clubhouse features a fully equipped gymnasium, 4 lane, 25 metre lap pool and spa, pro shop, 6 international standard squash courts, Racquet Club restaurant, Hopman Bistro and Members’ Bar, as well as 6 conference spaces.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food & Beverage Shift Leader in a Full Time capacity to join our exceptional hospitality team, in Members Dining comprising the Racquet Club and Hopman Bistro.

This is an outstanding opportunity to enjoy a prestigious hospitality role in stunning surrounds and facilities, with a friendly supportive team.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Providing and overseeing exceptional food and beverage service across A la Carte and Bistro dining.

• Hands on supervising, and leading a team of food and beverage attendants on shift

• Assisting with training and development of service staff on shift

Requirements and attributes:

• Prior supervisory experience in a hospitality role

• Strong familiarity with POS and related software

• Keen attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to thrive and adapt in a busy environment

• A fun can-do inspiring nature to engage and motivate staff on shift

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is essential
