About the role
HIAB Drivers
Location: Cockburn Central, WA
Cable Layers Australia is a civil construction company specialising in the power and communications industries across Western Australia.
We’re currently seeking HIAB Truck Drivers to join our team based in Cockburn Central. These roles involve assisting with directional drilling, excavator operations, reinstatement works, cable laying, and the installation of communications and power infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive our trucks between our Cockburn depot and construction sites.
Safely loading the truck with freight for deliveries with teammates around the Perth metro area.
Operate and maintain a clean, modern vehicle.
Complete daily safety checks and paperwork
Maintain a professional appearance and clean work environment
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Safety conscientious and well presented with the ability to deal with the public.
Work across the greater Perth metropolitan area and occasional regional work.
Skills and Experience:
HR-B heavy vehicle licence (Construction Induction)
High Risk Work Licence (class CV).
Physically fit and capable enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck up to 30kg. lifting capacity.
Strong focus on safety and following procedures
Good communication skills and team attitude
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
Positive work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Previous experience as a Truck driver.
