Mechanical Fitters & Boilermakers – FIFO & DIDO Shutdowns (WA)

AJL Mechanical Contracting Pty Ltd is a family-owned WA business supplying skilled trades to major mining shutdowns and rosters across Western Australia.

With ongoing shutdown, backfill & shift cover work, we're seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers who want consistent shutdown opportunities, competitive rates, and a company that values good operators.

• FIFO & DIDO roles

• Point of Hire: Perth, WA

• Shutdowns across the Goldfields through to the Pilbara

• Day shift & Night shift options

• Travel time paid depending on site requirements, roster, and method of travel.

• Shutdowns, backfill & shift cover – short & longer runs

• Competitive shutdown rates (based on skills & experience)

• Ongoing opportunities for reliable, high-performing trades

• Professional, organised mobilisation & admin support

Work varies by site but typically includes:

• Fixed plant maintenance

• Conveyors, skirts & chutes

• Crushers & screens

• Gearbox replacements

• Shutdown & breakdown maintenance

• Mechanical fitting & boilermaking works

• General site maintenance & repairs

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitters & Boilermakers

• Valid, current tickets relevant to role

• Full mining tickets package including White Card, EWP and Confined Space certifications required

• Basic tooling (site-specific tooling provided)

• Willingness to complete site inductions in a timely manner

• Full Australian working rights

• Ability to pass required Drug & Alcohol screening

• NPC required for some sites (not all)

• Comfortable working FIFO or DIDO as required

• Strong safety focus and team attitude

• Minimum 1+ years of mining/resources mechanical experience required
