Cook/Chef – Little Scholars School of Early Learning Burleigh Waters

Do you love creating healthy, delicious food for children? Little Scholars School of Early Learning Burleigh Waters is looking for a passionate and experienced Cook/Chef to join our warm, family-focused centre. This is a permanent part-time role, working 5 days per week, preparing fresh meals and snacks for approximately 106 children each day. You’ll play a vital role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing and early learning through nutritious food and fun cooking experiences.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea daily

• Menu planning, ordering and stock control

• Ensuring compliance with food safety standards

• Planning and delivering weekly cooking experiences with children

• Catering for allergy and dietary requirements

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring:

• Food Safety Supervisor & Food Handling Certificates

• Cooking experience and relevant qualifications

• Knowledge of Food Safety Standards

• Understanding of allergies and dietary needs

• A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

• A positive, fun and passionate attitude toward working in ECEC

Hours & Flexibility

• Part-time role, 5 days per week

• Shifts between 6:30am – 6:30pm

• Flexible working arrangements to support work/life balance
