Stock Controller

The Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our Supply Chain team at our global head office in Kilsyth, Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating inventory control activities, maintaining stock availability across branches and distribution centres, and ensuring stock movements are managed accurately and efficiently.

Working closely with Purchasing, Supply Planning, Operations, Branches, and Distribution Centres, you will play a critical role in inventory optimisation, stock replenishment, and supporting the timely fulfilment of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels and stock availability across branches and distribution centres through effective analysis, replenishment, and transfer management.
• Monitor open orders, backorders, shortages, and stock movements to support service level targets and customer demand.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Planning, Operations, and interstate teams to coordinate urgent stock requirements and resolve supply issues.
• Utilise inventory reporting tools and dashboards to drive stock accuracy, optimise inventory holdings, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

• Experience in inventory control, stock management, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, with Oracle JDE/OBIEE experience highly regarded.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to achieving outcomes and maintaining service levels.
