Tax Accountant

About the role

Intermediate tax accountant position with immediate start. The role involves servicing SME clients and high net worth individuals, with direct management of client portfolio and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements, payroll processing, payday super and TPAR

• ASIC annual review processing via BGL or similar software

• Service SMSF clients

• Manage client deadlines and work under pressure

About you

• Completed Bachelor of Business or Commerce (Accounting)

• Possessing or Studying CPA / IPA

• 5 + years experience in Australian public practice firm

• Intermediate to advanced software skills, particularly Xero, Quickbooks, MYOB, LodgeIT, BGL and Microsoft suite especially Excel

• Solid understanding of Australian taxation legislation

• Understand financial planning process

• Excellent communicator, and comfortable engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels

• Self-motivated
