External Sales/Area Manager– Pumps

About the role

Kalpumps Sales and Service is seeking an experienced External Sales/Area Manager – Pumps to join our dynamic sales team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position for a proven pump industry professional ready to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for developing client relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and promoting our comprehensive range of pump solutions to businesses across mine sites, processing plants, and agricultural operations throughout Western Australia. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and strengthening Kalpumps' position as the trusted pump partner across the sectors we serve.

Please note this role requires regular regional travel, including approximately 3-4 nights away per month during busy periods, to service clients across our operating regions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across mining, processing, and agricultural sectors

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients

• Assess client applications and recommend the correct pump solution for each operational requirement

• Present and demonstrate pump solutions tailored to client specifications

• Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and sales presentations

• Collaborate with the technical team on product specifications and technical accuracy

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions

• Manage and grow your designated territory, including regular site visits

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in pump sales or a closely related technical B2B sales role

• Solid working knowledge of pump types, applications, and selection principles

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse client bases

• Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision

• Willingness and ability to travel regionally, including overnight stays (3-4 nights per month during busy periods)

• A valid driver's licence

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales systems

• Knowledge of mining, processing plant, or agricultural operations is highly advantageous
