About The Role

As a Kitchen Steward, you play a key role in keeping kitchen operations efficient and up to standard. You will help maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment while supporting the culinary team in delivering high-quality service.

Working closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef, you’ll assist with daily kitchen tasks and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on achieving shared goals.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position offering great exposure and opportunities to grow your career in hospitality, both within Australia and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Operate commercial dishwashers and other kitchen cleaning equipmentEnsure all kitchen areas, surfaces, and equipment are kept clean and orderlyRemove waste regularly and store equipment appropriatelyFollow company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards at all timesSupport chefs with general kitchen duties as required

Requirements

Availability to work a rotating 7-day roster, including mornings, evenings, and public holidaysPrevious experience in a busy commercial kitchen environmentStrong awareness of workplace health and safety practicesKnowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling proceduresReliable transport
