Centre Manager

About the role

As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and operation of Dunstan Reserve. Working closely with the Executive Director and broader leadership team, you will provide strong direction across day-to-day operations and service management, leadership and performance of a large team, compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation, child safety and wellbeing, financial and resource management, rostering and workforce planning, enrolments and relationships with children and families, quality improvement, building partnerships with the local community, and supporting the service's educational and pedagogical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations and service management
• Leadership, development and performance of a large team
• Compliance with the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations and relevant legislation
• Child safety and wellbeing
• Financial and resource management
• Rostering, workforce planning and staff engagement
• Enrolments and relationships with children and families
• Quality improvement and continuous improvement
• Building strong partnerships with the local community and key stakeholders
• Supporting and strengthening the service's educational and pedagogical practice

About you

• A minimum of 3 years' demonstrated experience in a Centre Manager, Centre Director, Service Manager or similar senior early childhood leadership role
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated experience leading a large team and managing the complexities of a high-capacity service
• Strong organisational, operational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to lead with authenticity, accountability, empathy and professionalism
• Demonstrated experience supporting staff performance, development and wellbeing
• A strong understanding of child safety and a commitment to creating child-safe environments
• The ability to build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, educators and stakeholders
• Experience in quality improvement and driving positive outcomes for children and teams
