Apprentice/Qualified Mobile Mechanic

About the role

Coastline Auto Care is seeking an apprentice or experienced Mobile Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services to our clients across Adelaide.

As a Mobile Mechanic, you will travel to customers' locations, delivering professional diagnostic and repair services directly at their homes, workplaces or other convenient locations. This role is essential to our commitment to providing accessible, reliable automotive solutions that keep our customers' vehicles running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and mechanical inspections at customer locations

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and general servicing

• Execute repairs to engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension components and electrical systems

• Identify mechanical faults and communicate findings clearly to customers in an understandable manner

• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed

• Manage mobile tooling and equipment, ensuring all tools remain in excellent working condition

• Provide honest, professional advice regarding repair options and vehicle maintenance schedules

• Travel to multiple customer sites throughout the working day, managing time effectively

• Ensure work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

What we're looking for

• Valid driver's licence

• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation

• Ability to work independently

• Physical fitness and capability to work in various weather conditions

• Knowledge of current vehicle makes and models

• Understanding of health and safety regulations within the automotive industry

• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail

• Experience with mobile mechanic services or field-based automotive work is highly valued
