Workshop Assistant/Yardie

We’re on the hunt for a reliable and hardworking Shed Assistant/Labourer to join our busy steel workshop in Sandgate. This is a hands on role ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, keen to develop skills in the steel fabrication industry. For the right candidate, there’s an opportunity to step into a boiler making apprenticeship.

• Drilling, painting, prepping steel beams

• Operating a forklift to move and organise steel

• Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and well organised

• Assisting boilermakers with daily tasks and projects

• Previous experience in a workshop or similar environment (preferred)

• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)

• Physically fit and capable of manual labour

• Strong attention to detail and safety practices

• Reliable, punctual, and a TEAM PLAYER

• Interest in pursuing a boilermaking apprenticeship/workshop experience

• Power tool knowledge or trade exposure

• Truck licences training
