Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly residents? Elderly Australian Chinese Homes, a not-for-profit organization rooted in Chinese culture, is seeking skilled and empathetic Registered Nurses to join our team. We provide culturally sensitive aged care services that honor the traditions and values of our residents. We are currently looking for RNs that are able to communicate well in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).

We are currently looking for RN who are able to do Night Shifts.

Qualifications:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Not restricted working Visa.
• Experience in aged care, particularly within culturally diverse settings, is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with residents and their families.
• A commitment to providing culturally sensitive care that aligns with our organization’s values.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Police Check
• No RN experience needed

Preferences:

• Strongly prefer Registered Nurses with Chinese background.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to our elderly residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cultural needs are met.
• Administer medications accurately and safely, following all relevant protocols.
• Perform wound care management, ensuring proper assessment, treatment, and documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and manage residents’ health conditions, administering medication and treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of residents’ care and progress.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Skill & Experience

Our RACF does not require prior nursing experience as a mandatory employment requirement for Registered Nurses (RNs). The minimum requirement is a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent approved qualification) and current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Any additional nursing experience is considered advantageous but is not a mandatory requirement for employment.
