We are working with our key Geelong partner across the following role:
About the RoleAre you an experienced program leader with a passion for road safety education? We are seeking a Program Lead – Education to develop, implement, and evaluate key state-wide road safety education initiatives targeted at schools and young people.
In this dynamic 6-month contract, you will lead high-impact educational programs that align with broader Road Safety Strategies, working to improve road safety outcomes and reduce road trauma across Victoria. Additionally, you will oversee key strategic relationships, including managing the contract and operations associated with the Road to Zero Education Complex at the Melbourne Museum.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Leadership: Design, lead, and evaluate evidence-based, school-based road safety education programs and resources aligned with state strategies.
Contract & Partner Management: Oversee contract performance and provider management, including key relationships such as Museums Victoria and the Road to Zero Education Complex.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with partners across the education sector and road safety network to share knowledge, influence practice, and coordinate program delivery.
Governance & Delivery: Apply strong project and program management principles to manage deliverables, budgets, risks, procurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strategy & Representation: Contribute to strategic business plans and represent the organisation at relevant education and road safety forums, events, and conferences.
Relevant Experience: Background as a Road Safety Education Program Manager (or direct experience leading state-wide community or school-based education initiatives).
Program & Contract Management: Proven track record in project/program management, contract negotiation, vendor management, and evaluation frameworks.
Stakeholder Skills: Excellent verbal communication, written reporting, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships.
Analytical Thinking: Strong conceptual, analytical, and continuous improvement capabilities.
Mandatory Checks: Must hold a valid Driver’s Licence and a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Contribute directly to life-saving educational programs that protect young Victorians on the road.
Enjoy a flexible hybrid working structure (3 days in-office split between Melbourne and Geelong, 2 days working from home).
