Senior Mining Engineer (Underground)

As the Norseman Gold Project continues to grow, we are seeking experienced Senior Mining Engineers to join our Technical Services team and play a key role in the success of our underground operations.

About the Role

You'll play a critical role in mine design, planning, scheduling and optimisation while working closely with operational teams to deliver production targets and drive continuous improvement.

This role is ideally suited to a capable mining engineer looking to broaden their experience, take ownership of key projects, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the Norseman Gold Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and optimise short, medium and long term mine plans.

• Prepare and manage production schedules and forecasts.

• Deliver practical mine designs.

• Monitor and analyse mining performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Support budgeting, life of mine planning and strategic growth initiatives.

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Graduate and Mining Engineers.

• Work closely with Operations, Geology, Survey and Contracting teams to maximise productivity and value.

• Champion safe and efficient mining practices throughout the operation.

About You

• Degree qualified in Mining Engineering.

• Significant experience in underground mining operations.

• Strong mine planning and scheduling experience.

• Proficiency with mine design and planning software.

• Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.

• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Previous leadership or mentoring experience will be highly regarded.
