Project Development Advisor

Up to $110/hour + Super (based on experience)

Brisbane Based + 2 days WFH

Mid-August start, 6-month initial contract with probable extension

You will build commercially sound, technically informed project pathways; learn how major infrastructure moves through options analysis, governance and investment approval; own the heavy-lifting required to progress ideas into delivery-ready outcomes; and influence stakeholders, consultants and delivery teams across a complex, multi-disciplinary environment. What You’ll Do

Working closely with development and delivery leadership, you will help assess, prioritise and optimise infrastructure projects before they move through formal approval and into delivery. Day to day, that means bringing together technical inputs, practical engineering judgement, stakeholder engagement and strong governance discipline to move projects forward.

• Develop project briefs and support business case development, helping turn early ideas into clear, investable project pathways.
• Lead options analysis, feasibility assessments, value engineering and risk reviews to identify practical, delivery-ready solutions.
• Coordinate design consultants, technical inputs, cost and schedule information to support informed decision-making.
• Engage with internal stakeholders, regulators and service providers to progress approvals, resolve issues and maintain momentum.
• Support projects as they transition from development into delivery, ensuring reporting and governance requirements are met.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Finance or Project Management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience across infrastructure delivery, maintenance or operations.
• Strong civil infrastructure capability, ideally with a mix of design, planning and delivery exposure.
• Experience with business case development, options analysis, feasibility, value engineering and project governance.
• Confidence managing design consultants and coordinating multi-disciplinary technical inputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgement to brief, influence and build trust across stakeholder groups.
• An accountable, flexible and hands-on approach – someone who is willing to get in, do what is needed and help progress projects toward delivery.
