Business Development / Account Coordinator

MAPS Merchandise is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Business Development / Account Coordinator to join our growing team in Notting Hill, VIC.

This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career in account and relationship management within the Promotional Product industry in the Education sector. You will play a crucial role in supporting our business development initiatives, managing key client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our organisation. 

This position is based at our Notting Hill office and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your contribution will have a direct impact on our success.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating and managing account activities for assigned clients, ensuring consistent communication and timely delivery of services
• Supporting business development efforts by identifying new business opportunities and potential clients within target markets
• Maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships through regular contact, updates, and exceptional service delivery
• Preparing proposals, quotes and presentations for prospective clients to support the sales process
• Processing and managing client orders, requests and documentation with accuracy and efficiency
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and projects are delivered on schedule
• Conducting market research and competitive analysis to support business development strategies
• Tracking account metrics, pipeline development and reporting on key performance indicators
• Responding to client enquiries and providing product or service information and quotes in a professional and timely manner

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in account coordination, business development, or a similar customer-facing sales support role
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach to client interactions
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software or similar database management tools
• A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Enthusiasm for sales and business development with a genuine interest in supporting client success
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is advantageous
• Experience in account management within the print, merchandise, marketing or advertising industry is desirable 
• Knowledge of and/or experience with Social Media advertising advantageous, we like to post about our success.
