The Role

Blackwoods is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team and drive operational excellence across our Mt Isa Trade Store & Warehouse!

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, improving warehouse performance, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes. Managing a team of approximately four team members across two sites, you will play a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, safe work practices, and strong commercial results.

We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities for improvement, investigate discrepancies, communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders, and lead a high-performing team in a close-knit, supportive environment.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity on a Monday to Friday roster, based at our Blackwoods in Mount Isa City QLD.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a warehouse team of 4 team membersAllocate resources effectively to achieve daily, weekly and monthly operational targetsDrive a strong safety culture, including facilitating toolbox talks, safety stand-ups and WHS initiativesOversee inventory management activities including cycle counting, stock allocation, stock rotation and inventory accuracyInvestigate stock discrepancies and operational issues, providing timely solutions and clear communication to customers and stakeholdersCoordinate warehouse operations including receiving, pick/pack, dispatch and inventory control to ensure service levels are achievedIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance and customer outcomesBuild strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a customer-focused approachUnderstand and manage the impact of logistics and warehouse operations on commercial performance

About You

You will have:

Previous experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment (multi-site experience is highly regarded)Strong inventory management experience, including cycle counting, stock allocation, stock rotation, and inventory control processesProven ability to investigate discrepancies, analyse information and resolve issues effectivelyDemonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, including leading toolbox talks and safety initiativesStrong planning, organisational and time management skillsA positive leadership style with the ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team cultureUnderstanding of how warehouse and logistics performance contributes to broader business and commercial outcomes
