Public Area Cleaner / Housekeeping Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Public Area Cleaner / Housekeeping Attendant to join our team.

This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the common areas of a premium residential apartment building, while also assisting with housekeeping duties within our short-stay accommodation portfolio as required.

The position offers approximately 30 hours per week and would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working as part of a small, professional onsite team.

About the Role

Your duties will include a combination of public area cleaning and apartment housekeeping, including:

Cleaning and maintaining building common areas, including lobbies, lifts, corridors and entry areas

Cleaning resident facilities and amenities

Cleaning glass, doors, mirrors and other high-touch surfaces

Vacuuming, mopping and general floor care

Maintaining presentation of common areas throughout the day

Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas as required

Monitoring public areas and attending to spills or presentation issues promptly

Completing short-stay apartment departure and arrival cleans

Making beds and changing linen

Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens to a high standard

Replenishing guest amenities and supplies

Reporting maintenance issues, damage or missing items

Assisting with linen, housekeeping supplies and stock organisation

Completing periodic deep-cleaning tasks

Supporting the wider onsite team when required

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in presentation

Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently

Is physically capable of performing a hands-on cleaning role

Has good communication skills and a positive attitude

Can manage their workload efficiently and work to required timeframes

Understands the importance of discretion when working within residential buildings and private apartments

Is comfortable working as part of a team while taking responsibility for their own areas

Has previous cleaning, housekeeping, hotel or accommodation experience — preferred, but not essential for the right person

Hours

This is a part-time position of approximately 30 hours per week.

The role will operate across a roster and may include weekend and public holiday work, particularly when assisting with short-stay apartment housekeeping.

Flexibility with working days and hours will be highly regarded.
