The Opportunity
The Plant Operator is responsible for undertaking maintenance and construction duties through the skilled operation of Council's plant fleet.
This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:
Providing a high standard of operating skills on civil construction and maintenance plant and other equipment;
Effectively using your communication skills to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment;
Completing allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames; and
Being aware and adhering safe work practices to ensure all risks are minimised.
About Yourself
A person in this position will need to have knowledge and experience in various aspects of Civil Construction and maintenance works OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have:
a Current C Class Driver's Licence and HR licence;
a Work Health and Safety Construction Induction; and
knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and its application and HC licence preferred.
HR (Heavy Rigid) Drivers Licence or equivalent or willingness to obtain on commencement.
Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction, White Card (essential).
MUTCD, Level 1 and/or 2 (desirable).

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading
