Our Support Office in Pinkenba is the heart of our operations. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant in our Finance Team. This role is a full time 10 month contract role – for the period 1 October 2026 to 30 July 2027. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic aspiring financial professional to join our team, supporting a national, family owned business.

About the role:
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting our Finance Team to prepare and deliver accurate and insightful financial information and analysis to stakeholders within the Group, as well as ensuring we meet our statutory financial requirements. This role reports directly to a Finance Manager and sits within a wider Finance Team of 10 professionals.
This role is a fully in-office position.
Required Skills and Experience (The Ideal Candidate):
· A business graduate or undergraduate looking for their first commercial accounting role, or a person with previous administration experience looking to move into an accounting role.
· Working towards a degree in accountancy or business.
· Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills. Some exposure to Power BI would also be an advantage.

Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, particularly those relating to Occupational Health and Safety and Workplace Harassment.
Your principal accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
Maintain Balance Sheet Reconciliations for Corporate Credit Cards and Prepaid Stock Clearing Accounts, including investigations and maintenance using the SAP Concur Expense Management system.
Daily reporting of our expense claim and corporate card volumes.
Preparation of monthly payroll tax returns across the group
Assist with monthly financial reporting for businesses within the group.
Assist with review and authorisation of payments to suppliers.
Other reconciliation or reporting activities as required to assist the Finance Team.
