YARD MANAGER – BRISBANE [Northgate]

We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic Yard Manager in our Brisbane branch. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and the ability to work well under pressure.

The Key Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for the Yard Operational area including Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality matters

• Establish and maintain a safe working environment and ensure operations meet legislated requirements and company policies

• Manage the Safety Management System (SMS)

• Manage Yard Processes and operations to ensure safe and efficient functioning of the yard including being hands on as required

• Supervision and co-ordination of permanent and casual yard staff

• Ensure branch hire stock is continually maintained and serviced to required standard suitable for supply to site or inter-branch transfers

• Liaise with the Sales team and customers in relation to all sales enquiries, stock requirements, deliveries and returns

• Manage all intrastate, interstate and overseas stock movement

• Manage all stocktakes and stock checks

• Work closely with the administration team to manage stock demands for the branch whilst liasing regularly with the Queensland Operations Manager and the Sales Team

• Manage all deliveries and returns on time including transport arrangements

• Manage ‘New Goods’ stock levels and general procurement of stock and consumable items

• Manage the administration of Axapta related to the role and any other information processing systems
