Key Responsibilities

Main duties & Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and technical specifications.
• Fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal components and ductwork for commercial air conditioning systems.
• Measuring, cutting, forming and assembling sheet metal components to required specifications.
• Operating sheet metal machinery, cutting equipment and a range of hand and power tools.
• Installing and assembling commercial air conditioning ductwork and associated sheet metal components on construction sites.
• Aligning, fitting and securing ducting components on-site to ensure correct installation and workmanship.
• Working from technical drawings and project specifications to ensure components are fabricated and installed accurately.
• Maintaining appropriate workplace health and safety standards while working on-site.
• Working collaboratively with other trades and site personnel to complete air conditioning and ductwork installations.
