About the role
About the role:
Rockmount is recruiting on behalf of a well-established structural steel manufacturing plant based in St Marys. They need a Boilermaker who can read a drawing without needing three cups of coffee first. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity — you'll start on assignment through Rockmount, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment with our client.
What you'll be doing:
• Reading and interpreting shop drawings
• Tack welding assemblies
• Building fixture jigs to hold components in place for welding and assembly
• Oxy Cutting structural steel plate and sections to size, including weld bevel prep
What you'll need:
• Minimum 4 years' post-trade experience in structural steel
• CC2/CC3 project experience preferred
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and self-check your own work
• Trade Qualification in Fabrication or First Class Welding (or equivalent years of proven experience)
