CASUAL BANK - NURSES & MIDWIVES

An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for suitably qualified nurses to join the Nursing team at Portland District Health.  We are currently seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurses, Registered Midwives, and Enrolled Nurses for our casual bank.  Positions available across our healthcare setting.  You will be supporting the clinical skills of our staff, whilst contributing to the quality, safety and risk management programs for the clinical unit/department

Salary will be in accordance with the relevant Award, plus penalties and superannuation with access to salary packaging (conditions apply).

About you:

• Registered Nurse, Registered Midwives, Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively and work effectively as part of multidisciplinary health care team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, verbal and ICT skills
• Understands and embodies person centred care in practice skills that align with AHPRA registration requirements & PDH frameworks, policy and procedures
• Aptitude and willingness to learn new processes and procedures under direction from senior Unit staff 
• Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:

• Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
