Field Service Supervisor

We have a great opportunity for a service driven individual to supervise the work of a team of field service technicians and ensure the product support provided to our customers represents outstanding value.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Attend to customer enquiries, phone calls and walk ins;
• Determine scope of work and provide customer with an up-front estimate;
• Establish time line for required service / repairs;
• Keep the customer informed of the costs, status and any changes to the work;
• Allocate tasks to technicians to maximise labour resources;
• Ensure team members have clear direction on all daily activities;
• Manage workorders and timesheets;
• Assist with the ordering of parts and tools for each job;
• Monitor compliance to SHEQ requirements;
• Monitor warranty work to ensure repairs are carried out to Caterpillar guidelines;
• Provide technical assistance and diagnostic expertise as required to ensure jobs are finished in a timely manner.

Skills and experience:

• Relevant trade qualification;
• Leadership qualification or experience leading a small team;
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal;
• Sound influencing and negotiating skills;
• Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships;
• Accurate with a high attention to detail;
• Current driver's licence;
• Familiarity with CAT and dealer systems an advantage.
