About the role

Punjab Automotive Garage is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Caboolture, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standard. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our clients receive reliable and professional service. What you'll be doing

• Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and general servicing

• Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and electrical parts

• Conduct inspections and pre-delivery checks to ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards

• Operate specialised tools and equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining workshop standards

• Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle issues, repair options and costs

• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed

• Adhere to health and safety regulations and workshop best practices

• Support team members and contribute to a collaborative working environment

What we're looking for

• Recognised automotive trade qualification or equivalent experience as a qualified mechanic

• Current driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles when required

• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and modern automotive technology

• Strong technical knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical and brake systems

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills and customer service orientation

• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy components safely

• Reliability and a strong work ethic

• Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models is advantageous
