Join the Civmec Team Reporting to the CDI Commercial Manager, the Senior Contract Administrator is responsible for the administration and management of major subcontracts across the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) Program. The role focuses on the preparation, review and management of subcontract variations, progress claims, extension of time claims and contractual correspondence, ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with contractual obligations and project governance requirements. Working closely with commercial and project teams, the position supports effective subcontract administration, monitors contract compliance, manages commercial risk, and maintains accurate documentation, reporting and contract records to support successful project delivery. This role is a full-time position based in henderson, WA. The Role

The successful candidate will drive outcomes and support in all aspects of the project commercial and contract functions, including but not limited to:

• Formation and management of RFQ packages and Subcontractor tendering;
• Administration of subcontract packages, including management of variations, EOT and daywork claims;
• Perform cost control and reporting duties for end of month reporting and client contract reports;
• Attend weekly subcontractor meetings representing Civmec's commercial interests as required;
• Drafting and submission of notices of delay, extensions of time, subcontracts and or supplier agreements required for the project;
• Provide support to the project team in the preparation of relevant notices within designated timeframes;
• Notify clients of any issues, special circumstances or breaches of contract;
• Liaising with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal (i.e. workers compensation)
• Revise and retain contract registers highlighting payment conditions payment claims; and
• Maintain company standards of documentation and records for Quality Assurance purposes;

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field is desired but not necessary;
• Minimum 3 years' experience in contract administration, with a strong focus on managing existing subcontracts on complex projects.
• Previous experience in defence contracts is highly desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience within the construction industry is essential;
• Strong, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal; and
• Strong understanding of commercial management and project controls.
