About the Role

Are you a skilled manufacturing professional with a high mechanical aptitude and experience in fast-paced production environments? We are looking for an experienced Line Setter / Machine Setter with positions available for Day shift and Afternoon shift, ensuring seamless and efficient operation of our production line while maintaining our high standards for safety and quality.

As a Line Setter / Machine Setter, you will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, and maintaining equipment, coordinating efficient production processes, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring product quality. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Ensure all work complies with GMP, maintaining cleanliness, quality, and safety standards.

2. Efficient Line Management: Coordinate tasks to keep production running smoothly, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.

3. Equipment Changeover: Complete precise changeovers of filling, capping, and labelling equipment within specified timeframes.

4. Troubleshooting: Quickly resolve and adjust equipment issues to reduce wastage and maintain high-quality output.

5. Product Quality Monitoring: Inspect product quality during production, making necessary adjustments to maintain standards.

6. Documentation: Use EJS (Electronic Job Sheets) and other systems to complete necessary documentation and reporting.

7. Training and Compliance: Engage in ongoing training in SOPs, GMP, and OH&S.

Requirements

Key Skills

1. High mechanical aptitude and experience with machinery

2. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving

3. Advanced understanding of GMP and OH&S practices

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

5. Proactive and able to work effectively without supervision

6. Proven experience operating machines in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments

Experience and Requirements

1. Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, Packaging, Automotive, or other FMCG sectors is desirable.

2. Technical Skills: Essential experience with setting up, adjusting for changeovers, and cleaning packaging machinery on a production line.

3. Licenses: Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle. Forklift license advantageous.

Citizenship: PR or NZ/Australian Citizenship required.
