As we continue to grow our Data & AI practice, we're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who is excited by modern data platforms, cloud technologies and the opportunity to shape the future of data for some of Australia's leading organisations.One of the things that sets us apart is the strength of our technology ecosystem. The OpportunityAs a Senior Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our clients to design, build and deliver modern, scalable data platforms that enable better decision-making and unlock business value.You'll be involved across the full delivery lifecycle—from understanding business requirements through to architecture, engineering, testing and deployment. This is a consulting role where you'll collaborate with client teams, influence technical decisions and deliver solutions that make a real impact.
What you'll be doingDesigning and building scalable data platforms and data pipelinesDeveloping modern ELT/ETL solutions using cloud-native technologiesBuilding reliable and efficient data transformation pipelinesWorking with structured and unstructured data across enterprise environmentsCollaborating with architects, software engineers, analysts and business stakeholdersApplying modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automation and infrastructure as code where appropriateContributing to architecture decisions and mentoring other engineers
What we're looking forWe're interested in engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems and are passionate about building modern data solutions.You'll ideally bring experience in several of the following:Designing and delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutionsBuilding modern data platforms on AWS or AzureStrong experience with Databricks ecosystem including Apache Spark and SQLExperience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or similarPython development for data engineering workloadsData modelling, data integration and large-scale data transformationELT/ETL frameworks and orchestration toolsModern data tooling such as dbt, Apache Kafka or similar technologiesExperience working with Data Lakes, Lakehouse architectures or enterprise data warehousesExposure to DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code is highly regardedExcellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders
