Sales Representative - Welding Industry

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and organised Sales Representative to join our Melbourne sales team.

The territory in this role covers south east Melbourne metro and south east regional areas of Victoria.

This is a field-based position managing a well-established sales territory. Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow sales and expand our customer base.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and growing an established portfolio of customers through regular account visits.

• Achieving sales targets while maintaining margins, budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Promoting and demonstrating new and existing products.

• Providing product demonstrations, technical advice and customer training.

• Attending trade shows, field days and industry events.

• Preparing quotations, processing customer orders and following up sales opportunities.

• Identifying new business opportunities within your territory.

• Delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous sales and account management experience with a proven track record of achieving results.

• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

• A professional, positive and customer-focused attitude.

• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• Basic computer literacy.

• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.

• A current driver's licence with a good driving record.

• Willingness to travel throughout your designated territory, including occasional interstate travel.

Experience within the welding, fabrication, manufacturing or industrial sectors will be highly regarded.

Hands-on welding experience and/or a strong knowledge of welding equipment, consumables, welding processes and applications are highly sought after for this role. Candidates who can confidently discuss welding products with customers, understand technical requirements and provide practical solutions will be viewed favourably.

Previous experience selling industrial equipment or technical products is also highly desirable.
