BlueFit is proud to be commencing an exciting new partnership with the City of Wanneroo to manage the new Alkimos Aquatic and Recreation Centre (AARC), one of the largest capital works projects ever delivered by the City.

Together, we're embarking on a new chapter to bring this landmark community facility to life as a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant destination where people of all ages and abilities can be active, healthy and connected.

At the heart of this partnership is a shared commitment to creating a thriving community hub that enhances health, connection and liveability across Alkimos and the surrounding northern corridor. Through aquatics, learn-to-swim, health and fitness, indoor sports and community recreation, the Centre will create opportunities for everyone to participate, belong and thrive.

As part of our foundation team, you'll have the unique opportunity to help establish the Centre's culture, programs and customer experience from day one, guided by BlueFit's proven operating systems and commitment to excellence.

What the Role is Really About

As our Facility Manager, you aren't just sitting in an office managing spreadsheets; you are the welcoming face of AARC. You’ll set the tone for the facility, build a tight-knit team, and ensure every local family, swimmer, and member feels supported, safe, and valued the moment they walk through our doors.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Bringing the facility to Life: Lead the site setup and recruitment ahead of our grand opening in the coming months, making sure our team is ready to welcome the Alkimos community with open arms.

• Leading from the Front: Be present on the pool deck and around the venue—mentoring staff, chatting with members, and making sure daily operations run smoothly and safely.

• Fostering a Belonging Culture: Hire local, empower your team, and create a positive workplace where people love coming to work every day.

• Partnering with Purpose: Work closely with the City of Wanneroo and local community groups to ensure the facility meets the real needs of our local residents.

• Keeping Our Community Safe: Drive an uncompromising culture around site safety, water quality, and child protection so parents always feel confident bringing their families to AARC.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Real Heart for Community: You love working with people and understand that great customer service comes from genuine care and empathy.

• Hands-On Leadership Style: You lead by example. You’re approachable, visible, and never hesitate to roll up your sleeves to help your team.

• Multi-Site or facility Experience: Background managing operations in leisure, hospitality, or multi-site retail environments where fast-paced, multi-activity operations are the norm.

• Operational & Safety Confidence: Sound business sense with an understanding of facility budgets, safety compliance, and team rostering

• Essential Requirements:

  • Senior First Aid & CPR Certifications

  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • Experience with pool plant operations or LGA partnerships is a huge plus!
