Mortgage Packaging Officer

LocationSydneyReporting toTeam Leader / Packaging ManagerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Packaging / Applications Officer to manage loan packaging processes, handle complex application scenarios, and support team quality and performance. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and strong stakeholder communication across the origination process.Key Responsibilities· Package and process loan applications within required timeframes and service standards· Review loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance· Handle Standard, complex and exception-based scenarios, including escalations· Identify and communicate discrepancies to relevant stakeholders· Liaise with internal teams (Credit, Originations, Brokers)· Monitor pipelines and ensure deadlines are met· Conduct QA spot checks across the Manila team· Manage stakeholder communication effectively· Support reporting for management (Divya Bhatia)· Contribute to process improvements· Assist team members as required· Manage information and knowledge base for the broader teams. · Assist with staff training Key Performance Areas· Timeliness: Deliver within agreed turnaround times· Quality: High accuracy with minimal rework· Service: Strong stakeholder satisfaction· QA Oversight: Effective spot checks and insights· Complex Cases: Efficient resolution of non-standard applications· Team Contribution: Collaboration and supportSkills & Experience· Experience in loan packaging or applications preferred· Training will be provided· Ability to manage complex scenarios independently· QA or auditing experience advantageous· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills· Excellent communication skills· Ability to manage multiple priorities· High accountability and teamworkWhat We’re Looking For· Proactive and solutions-focused mindset· Strong ownership of quality· Ability to collaborate and influence· Commitment to continuous improvement
