Machine Operator

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The business is undergoing significant growth and is looking to appoint a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on day shift (6am-2:30pm Mon-Thu & 6am-12pm Fri).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To Manufacture products in accordance with documentation supplied, meet the required specifications and ensure all operations are carried out in the time specified

• Able to run semi-automatic bandsaws, linishers, CNC lathe, CNC mill, CNC press brake bender, drill press, crank press, hydraulic press and previous use of hand tools and power tools/hand held operations

• Be safety aware, abide by the company’s safety rules and policies and report all hazards approved paperwork

• Maintenance of the machinery and cleanliness of the workstation is part of the job 

• Demonstrates support and embraces PLP ‘On track’ value

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Minimum 2 years proven work experience in machine operation in a manufacturing sector.

• A logical and systematic approach to work;

• Strong work ethic and reliability;

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn;

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment; 

• Safety conscious; and

• The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solution
