Marine Technician

Job Responsibilities:Perform technical inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on marine vessels and yachtsConduct pre-delivery checks to ensure all systems are functioning according to manufacturer specificationsInstall and maintain mechanical, electrical, and navigation systems onboard vesselsSupport the sales team by preparing vessels for customer demonstrations and handoversMaintain accurate service records and documentation for all technical work performedCoordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for parts, technical support, and warranty claimsEnsure compliance with Australian maritime safety standards and dealership quality protocolsAssist in troubleshooting customer-reported issues and provide technical support during and after deliveryParticipate in training and development to stay updated on new marine technologies and service procedures
Job Requirements:Certificate or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical fieldMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in marine vessel maintenance and repairStrong knowledge of marine propulsion systems, electrical components, and onboard electronicsFamiliarity with diagnostic tools and service softwareExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailGood communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with sales and service teamsValid driver’s license and marine license preferredWillingness to travel locally for service calls, inspections, and customer support
