About the role
Lyrebird Enterprises is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Woodworker/Allrounder to join our manufacturing team. This position involves hands-on carpentry work using both traditional and modern techniques, as well as assisting with packing, dispatch, deliveries, and pickups. The successful candidate will be confident operating a forklift and must hold a valid driver's licence.
Key responsibilities
Carry out a range of carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber components.
Operate and maintain a variety of power tools and woodworking machinery, including drop saws, spindle moulders, routers, nail guns, and sanders.
Read and interpret technical drawings, production plans, and job specifications.
Safely operate a forklift to move materials and finished products.
Ensure all work meets established quality, accuracy, and safety standards.
Assist with deliveries and pick up of orders and stock.
General workshop organisation and cleanliness.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and targets.
About you
Demonstrated experience in carpentry, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
Proficiency in the safe use of power tools and woodworking equipment.
Strong understanding of timber properties, joinery methods, and fabrication techniques.
Current LF forklift licence.
Valid Australian driver's licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
Basic computer literacy.
Desirable: Experience operating CNC machinery or automated woodworking equipment.
