Mechanical Fitter

$50–$55/hr + Overtime | Permanent Position | Early Friday Finish

Maxwell Recruitment & Training has partnered with Palfinger, a global leader in lifting solutions and hydraulic equipment, to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their growing workshop team in Rydalmere.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role with an industry-leading manufacturer, offering excellent hourly rates, consistent overtime and long-term career stability.

Working within a modern workshop environment, you'll be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, servicing and repair of hydraulic lifting equipment and associated mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role where quality workmanship, attention to detail and safety are highly valued.

• Assemble, service and repair hydraulic lifting equipment.
• Install and replace hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves and hoses.
• Carry out mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component change-outs.
• Work collaboratively within the workshop team to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate.
• Previous experience working on hydraulic equipment or hydraulic systems (highly regarded).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).

• Permanent full-time position.
• $50–$55 per hour, depending on experience.
• Plenty of overtime available.
• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm.
• Friday: 6:00am – 2:30pm.
