We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Cleaners to join our team. The successful applicant/(s) shall be responsible for providing a high standard support service including cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas, removal of waste and linen and movement of equipment and materials in line with relevant cleaning procedures and policies as well as infection control and aesthetic standards. As a Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors across various areas of the hospital as directed by the Hospitality Supervisor.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is an 863-bed tertiary and quaternary hospital providing a broad range of specialised healthcare services. These include the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, dedicated mental health facilities, maternity, paediatric and neonatal care, as well as the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers highly specialised treatments such as heart and lung transplantation and hyperbaric medicine.

Cockburn Health is a stand-alone 75 bed inpatient facility. The hospital is non-authorised hospital, and for voluntary female patients only. FSH Cockburn Health provides inpatient services for: 

• Womens Mental Health. 
• Eating Disorders. 
• Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Behavioural and Withdrawal Management. 

By joining us you will become part of a diverse mental health team who are providing care and treatment across the spectrum of mental health disorders to a varied range of clients.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have valid Australian work rights. This includes visa holders. Permanent appointments may be made to individuals who hold citizenship, permanent residency, or visas that enable ongoing employment in Australia.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within SMHS and/or the wider WA public sector. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
