We are looking for an amazing Speech Pathologist for our permanent, part time position (0.6FTE negotiable).
Based out of Oxley, and travelling to support clients in their homes and communities, you’ll provide targeted, evidence-based interventions to help clients with dysphagia, dysarthria, and other challenges associated with MND. From prescribing assistive communication devices to collaborating with dietitians, and other health professionals, and advising on swallowing techniques, your work will empower clients to maintain independence and dignity.
Your ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments and develop tailored therapy plans.
Prescribe and train clients in AAC devices to support communication.
Provide guidance on swallowing techniques and interventions.
Collaborate with external health providers, MND advisors, and allied health teams.
Advocate for clients with funding bodies and health professionals.
Deliver education on MND to clients, families, and community groups.
You’re a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping clients maintain their quality of life. While experience with progressive neurological conditions is desirable, your willingness to learn and adapt is key.
Key Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent).
Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Minimum 4 years of clinical experience (NDIS knowledge preferred).
Ability to assess and prescribe AAC devices.
Strong organisational skills and a collaborative mindset.
Driver’s license and access to reliable transport.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
National Police Check
