Business Intelligence Delivery Lead

At Pickles, we’ve transformed the way we use data to create clearer insights and stronger business outcomes. Our BI team supports hundreds of internal users every day with a growing suite of Power BI reports built from our in-house auctioneering systems.

Following an internal promotion, we’re looking for a Business Intelligence Delivery Lead to own the front-end BI function at Pickles. This role leads the delivery and adoption of BI products, while coaching a team of analysts to deliver trusted, useful and easy-to-understand insights.

Working closely with the BI Operations Lead, Data Engineering and business stakeholders, you’ll help lift reporting standards, strengthen reporting design and ensure our BI products support real operational and strategic priorities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own the lifecycle of BI reports and dashboards, from scoping and design through to release, adoption, optimisation and retirement.
• Set and uplift delivery standards across the business-facing BI stream, including report UX, storytelling, documentation and reusable reporting logic.
• Lead, coach and mentor BI analysts, supporting strong stakeholder engagement, problem framing, prioritisation and better ways of working.
• Stay close to delivery by developing Power BI dashboards and occasional data extracts that help teams improve performance.

ABOUT YOU

• 7+ years’ experience in BI, analytics or reporting, including developing dashboards, data visualisations and self-service reporting tools.
• 4+ years’ hands-on Power BI design and development experience, with advanced DAX and SQL capability.
• Experience leading or mentoring analysts in a BI, analytics or data environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical BI outcomes.
• A clear and confident data storytelling style, with the ability to turn complex information into meaningful insights.
• Experience working with complex datasets, semantic models, reporting data structures and modern analytics environments.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Nice to have:

• Experience with customer lifecycle, user journey analytics or commercial performance reporting.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or other modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Interest in using AI, automation or new technologies to improve BI delivery, insight quality or reporting adoption.
• Experience with R, Python or other statistical tools.
