CLEANING EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on and technically minded Commercial Cleaning Equipment Technician to join our team.

The role involves servicing, repairing, maintaining and testing a range of commercial cleaning equipment, ensuring our customers’ machines are operating safely, reliably and efficiently.

We are also open to the right experienced technician operating their own business from our workshop. This could suit someone who already has their own customer base and wants access to an established workshop facility, equipment and a professional working environment without the overheads of setting up their own premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain commercial cleaning equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.

• Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.

• Test and commission equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

• Prepare new and refurbished equipment for customers.

• Carry out repairs and servicing in the workshop and, where required, at customer sites.

• Maintain accurate service and repair records.

• Provide professional advice to customers regarding equipment operation and maintenance.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.

• Assist with equipment installations, demonstrations and commissioning as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Mechanically minded and enjoys diagnosing and fixing problems.

• Experienced in servicing, repairing or maintaining commercial, industrial or cleaning equipment.

• Confident working with electrical and mechanical systems.

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.

• Safety-conscious and committed to quality workmanship.

• Comfortable working in a workshop environment and, where required, attending customer sites.

Experience with commercial cleaning equipment is highly desirable. However, we are also open to candidates with strong mechanical, electrical, automotive, small-engine or similar technical experience who are keen to develop their skills in the commercial cleaning equipment industry.

Workshop rental terms and arrangements are negotiable and can be discussed with the right person.
