About the role
About Love to DreamBorn in 2009, Love to Dream was famously dreamed up by mum entrepreneur Hana-Lia Krawchuk and is now the Aussie success story loved by millions of families worldwide.
Recognised for its award-winning, patented Swaddle Up™, today the ever-expanding range delivers a full sleep ecosystem for babies through to children up to 8 years old. Renowned for trusted designs, amazing product quality, comfort and longevity, Love to Dream is described as a gamechanger for parents, helping little ones and their families sleep like a baby.
Love to Dream is a high growth international business with private equity funding and an aggressive expansion plan, and there's never been a better time to join one of Australia's fastest growing exports and start building your development career.
Certified as a Great Place to Work® in Australia, Love to Dream is a values-led organisation with charitable partners in each major market and a dedicated leadership program investing in the development of talent.
About the RoleThis is a junior role with real ownership. Twelve months in, you'll have shipped Python code that runs in production every day, contributed to the data pipelines behind our reporting, built your first system integrations, and created AI-powered tools your colleagues actually use. You'll work in a small team where questions are encouraged, nothing you build sits on a shelf, and the scope of what you own grows as fast as you do.
What You'll DoWrite, deploy, and debug Python in production, with guidance early on and increasing ownership as you growHelp connect our commerce, ERP, and logistics systems (Shopify, NetSuite, 3PLs, marketplaces) via APIsWork on data pipelines end to end: ingestion with Airbyte, transformation in Databricks/Spark, and the SQL modelling underneath our reportingLearn how production systems are really run: monitoring, debugging, and helping respond when things breakBuild with AI, for real: LLM-powered tools, agents, and automations that save the wider team hours every weekCommunicate directly with non-technical colleagues across Australia, the US, the UK, and Europe
What You'll BringFundamentalsSolid Python fundamentals: you've built and debugged things beyond course work, and ideally deployed something real (side projects, internships, and uni capstones all count)Working SQL, including confidently joining tables, plus some exposure to, or a strong appetite for, data pipeline tools like Databricks/Spark and AirbyteAn owner's mindset: you take problems end to end in a small team, and you ask good questions instead of guessingClear communication with non-technical people, and the flexibility to work with colleagues across time zonesGenuine AI curiosity you've acted on: you already build with LLM tooling, not just talk about it (Anthropic's free certifications are a great signal; things you've shipped are even better)
Nice to HavesExposure to integrating systems via APIs, with commerce or ERP platforms a bonusAny experience keeping a live system healthy: monitoring, alerting, debuggingPower BI (or equivalent BI tooling) and GrafanaAWS, Cloudflare Workers, MCP/agent frameworksRetail or ecommerce domain experience
Must be based in Sydney and able to travel to Zetland a minimum of 3 days per week.

We want to celebrate the power of sleep with every product and brighten our world, one little dreamer at a time.
