About the role
We’re seeking passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to provide in-home support to our client living with a spinal injury in The Ponds. Your experience with complex client care, particularly spinal injuries, will ensure you continue to develop your skills while making a meaningful difference.
This role offers consistent day shift hours, with regular ongoing shifts every Monday and Tuesday 4:30pm-7pm and Sunday 06:30am - 11:00am, providing stability and the opportunity to maintain a healthy work-life balance. There may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts and occasional emergency fill-ins, offering flexibility and increased hours for the right candidate.
You’ll assist with personal care, bowel care (enemas and digital stimulation), domestic assistance, meal preparation, and manual handling, playing a vital role in supporting our client’s independence and quality of life.
You’ll be supported by our experienced allied health and nursing team, with ongoing training to ensure you have the confidence and skills to succeed.
As you grow with us, there may also be future opportunities to work across additional client locations, expanding your experience and hours.
About you
To join our team, you will have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in disability
Excellent verbal communication skills
Spinal Injury experience (Bowel Care - Enema and Digital Stimulation experience is a must)
Manual Handling (Hoist experience)
First Aid Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children's Check
Australian Driver's License
You’re a great communicator with a good sense of humor, strong attention to detail, and a focus on efficiency. You have extensive experience with bowel care and thrive working alongside an amazing team of experienced and passionate professionals.
